the active team

As we want to keep unicon alive over many more years, the responsibility of organizing the conference will be given from generation to generation of CODE students. Half of the active team has already been part of the orga team for unicon 2019, while the other seven people just joined a few months ago and therefore are able to bring in fresh ideas and motivation - so that the next conference will run just as smoothly as it did last year.

the founding team

Unicon came to life more than two years ago, in October 2017, by seven people who lived, studied and went to many conferences together. At some point they realized, that they didn’t feel inspired by most of those conferences, because they didn’t meet many like-minded students and they also didn’t see all the topics they were interested in.
That’s when the idea of building their own conference sparked in their heads. They knew that it would give them a lot of creative freedom and they wanted to use it well. So they spent the following months working on a concept for the event they had in our minds, reaching out to potential speakers and supporters, finding a location, talking to catering companies and a lot more - they realized it was a very optimistic idea, to have only half a year to organize an event from scratch, but fortunately in the end, it all worked, and they had their first succesful event in April 2018.
